Urban Decay Vice 2 Palette Swatches/Review.

I bring to you my review plus swatches of one of Urban Decay's new palettes they've recently came out with called the Vice 2 palette. I don't own the first Vice palette, so I have nothing to really compare them to.

Would like to just mention that the packaging is amazing. A variety of purples with a marbled effect, also with the plastic crystal looking UD logo that's raised off of the palette. Overall a hard plastic casing, with a black bar-button on the front to pop the palette open where the giant mirror on the inside top lid can be used with ease if you're using it to apply your makeup due to the angle that it stays at.

(Listed from top left down each row)
Smokeout, Prank, Radar, Dope, Lovesick, Madness, Damaged, Toxic, Shellshock, Strike, VooDoo, Habit, Coax, Stash, Betrayal, Ambush, X-Rated, Poison, Derailed, and Rewind.

My overall opinion on this palette would have to be that it's a must-have for those of you who 100% love shimmery shadows and color. The pinks in the palette are a couple of my favorites. My favorite combination out of this palette is Shellshock, Coax, Lovesick, and Habit. Using Shellshock for the inner corner of my eyes, Coax for the rest of the eyelid, Lovesick for my crease shade, and my browbone shade being Habit. All of these shadows are potentially beautiful eye looks waiting to happen. Though it is $60+, it's a great palette to have in your collection. Great job, Urban Decay.

NEW Displays At The Drugstore! Jan. 2014

Hey there internet friends, recently I've went into my local Walgreens store to pick up a few things and I came across a few new (to me, anyway) displays from various brands.

Maybelline's new huge display shows a lot of the new products they've just released (mainly referring to the Master Hi-Light powders and Master Glaze blush sticks) and the recently reformulated Expert Wear Shadows.

[The Master Glaze blush sticks have been ravaged on this display, sorry!]

Next is the Revlon display containing the new Parfumerie Scented Polish line.
(I only own Bordeaux and Spun Sugar, both are pretty nice.)

Then there's the new Covergirl display with P!nk being beautiful as always, containing the Jumbo Gloss Balms, LipPerfection Lipsticks, and the Outlast Nail Polishes. I own none of this, so as far as the products themselves go, I have no opinion.

Lastly, there's yet another Maybelline display with new ColorShow polishes with a slight label change. They have some really nice shades I'm wanting to try out, that cotton candy pink is definitely calling my name.

Will post more soon!

Urban Decay RollerGirl Palette Review

How's it going makeup loving friends? I'm probably way late to the RollerGirl Palette party, but better late than never right?

Here we have the elusive RollerGirl palette...

Cute packaging, sturdy as well. It's a harder cardboard-like packaging, nonetheless still very study and shiny.

(From left to right):
Woodstock, Verve, Suspect, and Darkhorse.

Woodstock is the bright pink shade, I love this shade a lot. Probably one of my favorite Urban Decay shades. I wear this alone a lot, and I'm aware that not a lot of people would do that due to the fact they say they look sick and that it really doesn't go with the palette in general. I think it's fine, I wear the shade alone a lot. I love the intensity of the pink, maybe because I'm addicted to pink eyeshadow? Who knows. Just an overall bright and beautiful color with great quality.

Verve is the champagne shade next to Woodstock. Like Woodstock, the texture is smooth and the color payoff (like with almost all Urban Decay eyeshadows) is intense.

Suspect is the shade after Verve, being a lovely bronze shade. Usually I wouldn't go for bronze colors, but this one I can make an exception for. This looks gorgeous layered with the other neutral shades because it all balances out. I don't think I'd wear this by itself because bronze/golds alone on my eyes look odd. Same smooth texture, I love it.

The far-right one is Darkhorse, the dark brown shade. This, like all the others; is a very shimmery shade. But the shimmer isn't as dominant like it is in the other shades. Which I suppose is a good thing, seeing as though I really only ever use this as a crease shade. Still pretty, but it's another I wouldn't wear alone.

This comes with a 24/7 Glide-On Eyeliner Pencil in Whiskey, but I bought this on instagram and it came with a brand new 24/7 Glide-On Eyeliner Pencil in Zero.

Zero has become one of my favorite go-to eyeliners that I've used to date. I still don't know what the Whiskey eyeliner is like, but from what I've seen from swatches people have done, I can say it does look like a bronze/darker brown. But I would've rather had Zero over Whiskey either way. I use black eyeliner a lot more than any other color.

My overall opinion of this palette is that the 3 neutrals go great together, Woodstock looks best alone, the shadows themselves have amazing pigmentation and a nice smooth non-gritty texture to them, and I just really like that you can achieve a simple look without having 4 different singles in front of you (who really wants to carry around or rummage through to find 4 shades that go nice together? thanks, no thanks. I'll stick with my palette).
