INSTAGC.COM REVIEW

I have been a user of InstaGC for close to a year now, and have decided to review it for people who might either be curious as to how it works and IF it works. Just to start this out on a good note, it has been a primary source of side income for me. It's one of the best survey sites that I've used to date. I'll break down the site for everyone so you get a better understanding of how to site as a whole works.

InstaGC works off of a points system- which means you gather points by doing surveys, small offers, trial offers, clicks, shopping online, and many other things
For every point = 1 cent
10 points = 10 cents
100 = 1 dollar
200 = 2 dollars
1000 = 10 dollars
(I'm sure you get the point.)
Their 'Guides' page says what to do and how to navigate the site easily, which is really helpful when you're new to the site. There's a chat on the page at all times, so if there are any questions they'll be answered very quickly by the Mods in the chat. They will more than likely refer you to the Guides page unless it's a specific question. There are actual people in the chat, having everyday conversation so feel free to jump in and talk to people. There are rules to the chat however, one of them being to not link any outsides links to other websites/share personal information. The rest are listed on the site within the chat box, but it's just basic common sense what to say and what not to say.

Onto the surveys; the best ones are the daily surveys. They can be found on the main offer page within many of the offer walls. InstaGC has their own offer wall where you can do daily surveys, which in my opinion is the best way to rack up quick points next to the Peanut Labs surveys (which pop up daily). A lot of the InstaGC Daily Surveys range from 50-135 points. They have at least 20+ daily surveys you can take which leaves a lot of opportunity to rack up point fairly fast. The survey length is honestly a 50/50 on how long they will be. Some are short and easy, some are long and can take up to 40 minutes. But if you want to kill time and make money, it is indeed worth it. Peanut Labs is another good offer wall for Daily Surveys, because the surveys (most, anyway) are pretty short (ranging from 5-15 minutes, if that.) From 10-50 points per survey, there is an ample amount of chances to rack up points. TrialPay, OfferToro, Paymentwall, and RadiumOne are good walls for offers as well. TrialPay and Paymentwall have quite a few options available as far as daily surveys go. Trial offers and others can be completed as well, even offers to buy a product; which I personally have not done yet, none of the offers that require purchase appeal to me. But some people have done it and successfully acquired the points for it so it is an option. I do complete the sign-up offers for the easy points, but there are some that probably won't credit and are a little scammy feeling. Those would be the offers for gift cards to restaurants/retail stores that require an email at the beginning and your other personal information. If you enter your phone number, chances are you'll be getting spammy phone calls from a random person working for a company offering to sell you things. Not really worth it in my book. I'd sooner stick to my daily surveys for points. There are studies on the InstaGC wall you can complete as well.

My personal experience with InstaGC has been great. I've made $140+ in the past year on and off doing surveys and offers. You can cash out your points in as little as 100 to get a $1 Amazon gift code. There's a huge selection of gift cards for all kinds of different places and things on there, it's pretty awesome. I mainly go for Amazon gift codes and Direct Deposits to my bank account. Paypal payouts aren't an option, however. So if that's what you're going for, I suggest Opinion Outpost- but I'll make a separate blog about that. All in all; I really like InstaGC for making things as simple as possible to earn money online. It's in no way a 'job', but if you don't have one- money is money and this is a great way to earn it.

I'll leave a link if you'd like to sign up and check it out!
DISCLAIMER:
Just remember, you will not qualify for every survey you attempt to take. They are looking for a certain demographic for different surveys. Don't be discouraged if you don't qualify, just keep doing them, you'll get them! :)

Thanks for reading.

Sally Hansen Sugar Coat Nail Polish Review!

This review is for the Sally Hansen Sugar coat nail polishes that I own so far. Links will be posted below the name of the shade to purchase if you like any of them so nobody has to search everywhere.
(I'm starting a new thing on my blog that I'm calling 'Alyssa's Picks', which will be this: @~ next to a product name that I absolutely love and would really highly recommend.)
_________________________________________________

These polishes are some of my favorites that Sally Hansen has put out. The regular Sugar Coat polishes have been clearanced out and replaced by the Sugar Coat Shimmer polishes. I don't know a whole lot about them, but I could only make an assumption that they would be very similar to the regular Sugar Coat nail polishes. These caught my interest because I kind of like the gritty texture that these polishes have. The color selection of these were very pretty and eye catching. Super colorful, squared-off packaging, white cap with a variety of names on a sticker for the shade name stuck to the top. Two of these are limited edition ones that were out at the same time as the main Sugar Coat shades. Most of those, from what I have seen; were sold at Target. All of these are super opaque with a couple of swipes. Generally to get the full effect; I usually do two coats of polish.

100 - Bubble Plum

A mix of bubble gum pink and a light purple matte shade with a gritty texture.

200 - Sugar Fix

A bright white shade with a gritty texture.

@~  220 - Treat-Heart

A slightly shimmery light pink shade with a gritty texture.

@~  240 - Red Velvet

A deep red/burgundy shade with a gritty texture.

300 - Cherry Drop

A brighter red matte shade with a gritty texture.

400 - Sweetie

A pale yellow matte shade with a gritty texture.
(Applies a little sheer, 2-3 coats is key to getting the full effect)

@~  500 - Razzle-berry

A dark blue matte shade with a gritty texture.

600 - Sour Apple

A mint green matte shade with a gritty texture.

@~  800 - Lick-O-Rich

A black matte shade with a gritty texture.

Overall: (On a scale of 1 to 10...)
  • One swipe opaqueness - (7/10)
  • Amount of days gone by before chipping begins - 3 to 4 days (5/10)
  • Drying time - Roughly 1 hour (8/10)
Thank you for reading, hopefully this helped!

Wet N Wild Limited Edition Eyeshadow Palette Swatches/Reviews.

Today I wanted to bring to you swatches that are few and far between to find, talking of coarse about the Limited Edition things that Wet N Wild comes out with and before you know it; it's gone! I've gathered up all of my Limited Edition stuff from Wet N Wild and a lot of it I've already used/swatched; so now I'd like to show you them and give my honest opinion on them.

I'll be listing trios and palettes from various collections & put them in chronological order by the date they were released. (starting from earliest to more current)
I've already reviewed the newest set of things they have came out with as of Jan. 2014, so please check that out if you haven't already! :) I'll be adding more to it as I get more things from that line.
_________________________________________________

I only have one trio from the Dream Weavers collection that was released in Spring 2011. I bought it online because I wasn't into all the displays and things around the time that really a lot of these were released. Slowly catching up with my collection, though.

Enter A New Realm

This trio consists of 3 gorgeous shades starting with the browbone shade being a grayed silver shimmer, the crease shade being a matte black, and a medium matte red shade for the eyelid.

I will admit, I really just bought this for the red shadow. It comes out to a pretty pigmented red, but takes a couple layers to really be opaque. The black shade is opaque with one swipe, and the silver is very shimmery with a small fallout problem. Every time I've used the silver, I have a bit of fallout on the lower part of my eye and when I go to dust it off, I've turned my under eye area silver. That's my only problem (which really isn't too bad) with this, other than that, I like it.

Next is the Flora and Fauna trios that popped up in boxed sets with 4 products in them back in Spring 2012. Both set featured a nail polish, a mini blush, an eyeshadow trio, and a glassygloss lip gloss. I bought both sets within the past few months on eBay because I was pulled in by the Fauna trio's vibrant colors. The Flora trio I really could have missed out on, but for the sake of giving it a chance just in case I actually end up liking it; I went for it.

Flora trio

I only bought it for the sake of trying it, I wasn't ecstatic about the color choices. I understand that the name 'Flora' would imply that it's floral themed, thus there's floral shades, but overall it's kind of just... meh. Not very pigmented except for the orange shade. The green is the best one out of this trio, though it's not very pigmented.

The yellow is very pale with shimmer, the green is a deeper shade with minimal shimmer (not as pigmented), and the orange is the brightest and most pigmented of the bunch.

Fauna trio

These shades go gorgeous together. I've wore these quite a few times and I like them a lot. The pigmentation is amazing and the texture is great as well. Very smooth and easy to apply. A lot better than the Flora trio.

The browbone shade is a very pretty light champagne shimmer, the crease shade is a medium teal shimmer, and the eyelid shade is a light purple shimmer.

Next up is the 8-Pan palettes from the Winter 2012 collection 'Where's The Party?'. They made 3 palettes, but I only have 2 of them because the Sparkle 'Till Morning palette is a pain to find online or anywhere for that matter.

Shimmer The Night Away

My favorite palette out of the two I have from this collection would have to be this one. I love blues, pinks, purples, blacks, and anything with a lot of shimmer. The pigmentation is great with most of this palette.

The left row has a nice white shimmer, a silver shimmer, a charcoal shimmer, and then a deep carbon black shimmer. The right row has a lilac shimmer, a bright pink shimmer, a lighter lavender shimmer, and a medium blue shimmer. The lavender shade is the only weak shade in this palette, though it is still really nice. Just wish it had a little more opacity.

Drinking A Glass Of Shine

This palette is a clone of the 'I <3 Matte' palette they had put out before, with all matte shades in it. Some of the shadows are a little bit chalky, but for the most part still have decent pigmentation.

(If you see any glitter/shimmer, it wouldn't come all the way off from the Shimmer The Night Away palette swatches)
The left row has a matte white, light green matte, bright blue matte, and a medium purple matte. The right row has a pale yellow matte, a light peach matte, a brick-red matte, and a carbon black matte.
Again, sorry for the reflects of shimmer that wouldn't come off my hand from previous swatches.
The two chalky shades are both of the top shades, being the matte white and the pale yellow matte. They just didn't come off as smooth as the others did. Even using them on your eye with an eyeshadow brush will still result with the chalky texture and some patchy spots. All of the other shades are smooth and easy to apply, I've had no trouble with them.
_____________________________________________________________

Next is the most loved Spring 2013 collection 'Spring Forward'. I have both palettes, though I had to pay a lot more than the $4.99 retail price for them. They are pretty sought-after from what I see almost everywhere online. The packaging on these palettes is cute, and quite different from just the standard black-backed palettes with the plain clear plastic lids.

Going In The Wild

This palette is my least favorite of the two, surprisingly. Some of the shades don't come off as good as the other palette in this collection. Though some of the shades are light and not extremely pigmented, they are still really pretty.

The left side has a white shimmer, a purple shimmer, a lavender shimmer, and a deep purple shimmer. On the right side there's a light golden shimmer, a pastel-mint shimmer, a medium brown shimmer, and a black shimmer.

Nude Awakening

This is my favorite one, simply because of the pigmentation and the fact that I love my neutral shadows. This is 100% all neutral and gorgeous. The only slightly chalky shade is the top left white matte.

The left row has a white matte, a light bronze shimmer, a light brown satin, and a dark brown shimmer. The right row has a copper shimmer, a medium brown shimmer, a grey shimmer, and a charcoal-black shimmer.
________________________________________________

Next up is the Summer 2013 'Pop Art Craze' collection. This collection is what got me to really start taking interest in the Limited Edition shadows that they would come out with. I fell in love with a lot of these shades, because it's not everyday in the drugstore that you see bright and vibrant shades like these. There were 6 different trios made, my favorite being 'Three's A Party'.

Three's A Party

This is my favorite trio that I have out of this collection. My favorite shade in this is the red, I kind of wish they would've switched out the black and red, so instead of the eyelid shade being black, it would be red and the crease shade would be black. That would've made more sense to me, anyway. But these shades are all matte, with a smooth texture. The white can be a little chalky at times, but the other two shades are the ones I like more anyway so it doesn't bother me all that much.

(From top to bottom)
A matte white, a matte red, and a matte black.

Hard Being The It Girl

This trio has a nice shade selection, and the yellow surprisingly enough is very flattering and wearable. I've used the yellow on my lid and the blue as my crease shade and it looked really good. Very impressed with this trio.

(From top to bottom)
A pastel pink matte, a medium blue matte, and a pale yellow matte.
These come off very pastel and overall very pretty.

Your 15 Minutes Aren't Up!

The yellow and purple shades come off very pastel as well, like the last trio. The pink has a bit more vibrancy to it by far. The yellow isn't something that I would use as a browbone shade, though. I'd much rather use it for my eyelid and pair it with another shadow in the trio. Nice texture on all of them and overall decent color payoff.

(From top to bottom)
A pastel yellow matte, a light purple matte, and a bright pink matte.

I'm Seeing Triples!

This is my second favorite trio out of the 6 others. I love the green, blue, and purple. This makes me happy to see such good colors grouped together, but like the last trio; I wouldn't use the green as a browbone shade. But I have combined all of them before, just none of them were my browbone shade. Such great pigmentation with these, very impressed.

(From top to bottom)
A bright neon green matte, a bright blue matte, and a lighter purple matte.

A Regular At The Factory

I don't reach for this trio very often, but it is pretty good. Does that yellow look familiar? That's because it's the same exact yellow that's in the Your 15 Minutes Aren't Up! trio. Why they did that, I don't know. If you own this whole collection, you'll see exactly what I'm talking about. Besides that, they are pretty pigmented, which is what I look for in eyeshadows.

(From top to bottom)
A pastel yellow matte, a bright blue matte, and a bright orange matte.

To Muse And Carouse

This is my least favorite, I just don't see myself reaching for this very often. First off, the color combination is just weird, starting with peach, brown, then light blue. It's like... wait, what? What the hell do these shades even have in common and why would you think this could work? I use one shadow individually when I do use this because this whole trio makes no sense to me. Though it makes zero sense whatsoever, the colors are still pretty good in terms of payoff and texture, except for the browbone shade. That one is barely visible.

(From top to bottom)
A extremely light peach matte, a medium brown matte, and a light blue matte.
_____________________________________________________________

Next, there's the Late Summer to Early Fall 2013 'Beauty Army/Tough Girl' collection. I only have one because my local K-Mart store didn't have much of a selection of them, just the trios packaged with the godawful mega protein mascaras. Those were bad, don't even lie to yourself. I'd like to find more of these trios soon.

I Don't Do Camouflage

This right here is a pretty good trio. Not chalky, pretty smooth, and to top it off I love blues. Decent pigmentation as well. The middle shade is the best one when it comes to which one has the most intense color payoff. The least pigmented is the browbone shade, there's not a whole lot to do with it.

(From top to bottom)
A light blue satin, a deep blue shimmer, and a medium blue satin.
_________________________________________________________

Next is the Fall 2013 'Be A Runway Beauty' collection. This is one that popped out of nowhere and I had to buy them. There were only 3 in this collection, and I have to say that I do like all of them.

Silent Era Film

This is my favorite from this collection, I mean really. Look at the colors, look more, look again..... and now you understand. That browbone shade is just perfect, the peachy-red crease shade is excellent, and the eyelid shade is gorgeous. They show up a little lighter swatched, but on the eye looks a lot darker.

(From top to bottom)
A champagne satin, a peachy-red satin, and a charcoal shimmer.

Camera Obscura

I know that a lot of people wouldn't find the top shade too appealing, but swatched it looks really nice. The peach crease shade and the blue eyelid shade need to be switched out in my opinion. It would make more sense to have it like that, dark on the lid and light in the crease just doesn't seen quite right. Nice trio, nonetheless.

(From top to bottom)
A light brown matte, a peach shimmer, and a deep blue shimmer.

Grays Matter

This trio is a more purple themed set. (like i don't have enough purples in my collection? i mean really)
Smooth texture and really good overall color payoff.

(From top to bottom)
A light purple shimmer, a medium purple shimmer, and a deep purple matte.

Will add more in a different post, hopefully this helped you get an idea of the shades available!
