Life and Beauty.: March 2014

Finally back again with another review! This time it's for the newer Almay Softies shadows.

I have 8 of them that I got for free from Walgreens, all of them being different shades. I used the $5.00 off of 2 Almay products coupon (since I had 2 coupons, I was able to get 4 per coupon since you can print a max of 2 coupons per computer), then the buy 1 get 1 half off deal for Almay products- which made all of them free!

Now these shadows, (when I first seen them), looked like powder shadows. I got them home, opened them up and when I initially swatched them they still felt like a very soft powder, like that of maybe Urban Decay. I moved my finger around in the product a little more and it started to have the texture of the Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blushes and Bronzers. For me, it has kept it shape and fit very well into the pan without spilling over the edges. I've tried using different brushes to apply one of them for my look today, and it just didn't work out and I had to use my finger to apply it to my eyelid. The pigmentation is pretty good, I'm overall pretty happy with how they look swatched. They are more on the sheer side though. The more I wear them I'll have a more complete opinion on them.
